Have you ever wanted to make your own printables just like all those you see out there on your favorite blogs? Printables have been all the rage for a while now. Have you seen some of the cute labels, signs, framed art that people are sharing online? Some of your favorite blogs will offer them for free, and yet you can still find others who will charge you a fee for the print. You can do any of these, or you can just quickly make your own! Haven’t you ever wanted to make your own printables?
There are several different ways you can create your own printables. You can use Picasa, Photoshop, a Silhouette or Cricut, and PicMonkey, among others. I use PicMonkey, a free online service. (They do have an option for an upgraded version too.) I’m going to show you how to create a really cute print with PicMonkey in the steps below.
Select a Blank Document:
There are a ton of options on the sidebar to allow you to make a lot of different changes. For this tutorial, I am going to just run step by step in how I created this cute Happy Birthday America framed printable.
I started with create new and then selected blank canvas choosing an 8×10. I named it God Bless America and then got to work on it.
I chose graphics then basic shapes choosing a solid triangle which I then turned upside down and resized to my liking. Try to fit 10 across. Then alternate color changes between red and blue. A trick here is to hold the cursor over the area you’re wanting to alter, choose right click and then duplicate layer- here you’re wanting to duplicate your flag- you duplicate the color of flag you ‘re needing and then move it to its new location like this below:
Now that you’ve got that figured out, alternate your red and blue flags into position and then in white place the corresponding letters to spell out “God Bless America” in capital letters
Then you want to share the image that you’ve selected with your audience to create your adorable printable. Here we can do a couple of things. If you want to find a certain selection then leave it to me and I’ll find you just the perfect image just put in an order and I’ll do this for you in exchange for your email address so I can mail it to you- just contact me here:
once you get your image, you place it where you want to place it and then use the frame option to pick a frame for your project. Then use your printer to set up the look and feel for your project.
Dream BIG... the possibilities are endless!
